Concrete & Heavy Debris Dumpster Rental
Concrete, brick, asphalt, dirt and rock usually go in a 10 or 15 yard dumpster, sometimes a 20, because a container hits its road weight limit long before it is full. Many haulers want clean loads of one material. Tell us what you're removing and we book a container that fits the weight.
Updated 2026-11-05 · Your flat-rate quote includes delivery, pickup and a weight allowance, and it is spelled out before you book. No hidden fees.

Planning your concrete & heavy debris dumpster
Smaller is right for heavy loads
A 10 yard container full of concrete can weigh several tons. Bigger containers can't be filled to the top with heavy material, so a small one is usually the better buy.
Clean loads
Many haulers ask that concrete, brick, asphalt or dirt be kept free of trash, wood and other debris. Mixed loads may be priced differently.
Fill line
Haulers often mark a fill line for heavy material. Stay under it so the truck can lift the container legally.
Sizes for concrete & heavy debris projects
| Size | Typical dimensions | Pickup-truck loads | Good for |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10 yard | 12 ft long x 8 ft wide x 3.5 ft high | about 3 | Small cleanouts, a bathroom or small kitchen remodel, a single room of carpet, small deck removal |
| 15 yard | 16 ft long x 8 ft wide x 4 ft high | about 4 to 5 | Garage or basement cleanouts, a mid-size kitchen remodel, small roof tear-offs, flooring for several rooms |
| 20 yard | 22 ft long x 8 ft wide x 4.5 ft high | about 6 | Whole-home cleanouts, most roof tear-offs, larger remodels, deck and fence removal |
Dimensions and pickup-truck equivalents are typical figures. Exact container sizes, weight allowances and which sizes are available vary by hauler and are confirmed on your quote.

Frequently asked questions
How much concrete fits in a dumpster?
It depends on the hauler's weight limit, not the container's volume. A 10 yard dumpster is the usual choice for concrete, and you may only fill it partway.
Can I mix concrete with other debris?
Many haulers require concrete and other heavy material to be a clean load. Ask when you book; we'll tell you what the local hauler allows.
Can dirt go in a dumpster?
Clean fill dirt usually can, in a small container with a fill line. Contaminated soil cannot.
Not sure what size you need?
Call us with the project and we'll size it with you, then book it with a local hauler.
